Rus Weigel

Russell Weigel joined Learn2Master Academy in 2020 and is the leader of our Judo/Takedowns program and one of our World Class instructors. Under Rus’ tutelage, our students have significantly improved their takedown game in BJJ, Judo, MMA, and Wrestling scenarios. 

His multiple accolades include:

Canadian National Judo Champion

Canadian National Jiu Jitsu Champion (Blue Belt)

Multiple Judo Provincial and Open Titles

He achieved his Black Belt in Judo under the legendary Wayne Erdman. 

Rus is also a BJJ Blue Belt and avid Sambo practitioner.
